The 23rd Annual Irish Academy of Management Conference will be hosted by DCU Business School, Dublin City University. The venue will be St Patricks Campus, DCU Drumcondra Campus, which is situated on the north side of Dublin.

The conference starts at lunchtime on Wednesday 26th August and concludes at lunchtime on Friday 28th August 2020. The conference will be preceded by a PhD doctoral colloquium on the morning of Wednesday 26th of August.

Conference Theme: Management for a Sustainable Future

The 2020 IAM conference theme is Management for a Sustainable Future.   Building organisations that are sustainable requires leaders that will effectively manage the whole of the organisation’s resources, including environmental, economic and human resources, from a sustainable, global perspective. In an increasingly uncertain world, the Academy must support and develop current and future business leaders that can meet these challenges.

Keynote Speakers

Amongst our keynotes we are delighted to welcome Professor Anthony Nyberg to the conference: Anthony J. Nyberg is Professor at the University of South Carolina. His research examines how organisations compete through people, specifically the strategic role of pay in the attraction, emergence, retention, and motivation of human capital resources. He publishes in top academic journals, and is currently serving as Associate Editor for the Academy of Management Journal. Prior to completing his PhD Anthony spent nine years as the managing partner for an international financial services firm.
